Zu Audio "Essence" Full Range Floor Standing Loudspeakers
I am selling my great looking, great sounding pair of Zu Essence speakers in the Cosmic Gray textured finish. These don’t show up very often, so take advantage of getting your own now!

I am selling due to an impending move to the northeast US, and a subsequent downsizing of my system. They are in excellent cosmetic condition (I’d say 8 out of 10 to be conservative), and perfect functionally (10 out of 10). There is an occasional small blemish in the finish here and there, and I had to superglue the plastic pegs back onto the metal grills which is how they were attached initially anyways (I never listen with the grilles on btw). They are about four to five years old.
The Essence are very easy to drive @ 97db efficient; I liked to drive them with a low wattage SET tube amp, but they work equally great and sound great with solid state amps, if that is your preference. They are very amplifier friendly. I ran them with an 18wpc Amarro SET amp, and they EASILY filled my 25’ x 20’+ room with glorious music. Not only do they sing with delicacy and nuance when called for, but they also rock out as needed; they are extremely versatile (not to mention that they are also fantastic in a home theater setting!). Another nice thing about these Essence is that they are very easy to place (no rear port, so they can be placed closer to a wall if desired).

They sound just as the reviews have portrayed them, i.e. very 'live' and not a recessed sound by any means. They do a wide and tall soundstage and have that holographic sound that we audiophiles look for.
