LS-100 rectifier tube

Hi,
Can I use an EML 5u4g as a rectifier within the LS-100 preamp?  I have one but am concerned that it may not be electrically compatible (apart from being a very tall tube!)

Dan will have to let you know but I think you will have to leave the cover off which isn't recommended.
