Totem Hawks in Mahogany (price drop)
« on: 7 Dec 2014, 01:08 am »
Up for sale are my beloved Totem Hawks to fund another speaker purchase. They have served me well and are perfect for those needing a smaller footprint but still wanting a bigger sound. They won't play deep, but the bass from them is more than enough for the average audiophile (they sound their best in small to medium sized rooms IMO). I like my bass so I'm moving to a significantly bigger tower that will reach even lower.

The previous owner packed these in the original box, but unfortunately FedEx mishandled that box. One of the speaker "claws" must have sustained quite an impact because the cabinet is slightly cracking around the claw. This is a relatively easy repair for someone with the know-how, but please see the photos. I'd rate them a 5/10 because of this damage and a few dings & dents which are also pictured. The good thing is that the speaker performs flawlessly and the drivers are in perfect shape.

CLAW REMOVED

Asking $1,000 + shipping OBO because of their condition. These will not ship in the original boxes because of the damage they sustained when they shipped to me but they will be packed even better by a shop that I trust who deals with audiophile equipment all the time.

Your killing me NEEP!

Someone please buy these at this insanely low price just because of some minor cosmetic flaws so I can sell mine at market price!

Put the "beak" footer on, dab the little chip or two, you're done.  You will never hear a better speaker for $1K - honest.

Ah the cruelty of you audiophile cheapos - bet some of you are trying to low-ball him even below this rock bottom price. No shame

Haha, thanks jarcher! I completely agree. If you have a small or medium sized room, these could be your end game speakers. I pair mine with the Totem Storm sub (which I'm keeping) and it is fantastic.

I have never seen them at this price, so the last price drop is the lowest I'm going otherwise they're staying with me :) Don't let the damage hold you back, they really look fantastic in person.

Can't believe I'm doing this but I think I'll take em. Can you get me a shipping quote to 82601?

Thanks!

Venkman, with out knowing the actual weight of all the packing material I estimate the shipping will be right around $60.  I'll eat the cost of all the packing materials which will be around $35. They will be packed for a nuclear blast. I'm making a stop at the packing shop I mentioned tomorrow afternoon, so let me know if you'd like to make this official. Thanks!
