Very tempting Ryan!
Do you have a rough guesstimate for the bottom end -3db point for that?
I'm between a rock and a hard place currently. We're moving and I don't think my "Frankenspeakers" are going to work here, so I'm looking at different options. In a perfect world I'd end up with a Monitor setup (replacing the LS 6's) and pull the OB Woofs out of the Super V's to use for bass (that flat pack H-frame).
Purely exploring at this point - too early in the game to commit to anything.

In a 2-way monitor setup I'd choose an AudioTech 7" woofer that gives -3db in the 38hz-40hz range, that would get us about 87-88db sensitivity in a .75cu/ft vented cabinet.  If one said that they would be using subwoofers, we could choose a woofer that goes to 60hz (for example) which would up the sensitivity to more like 89-90db.  Since the bass extension and sensitivity are diametrically opposed, that would be the primary decision to make and balance appropriately for your setup.  Just FYI the midrange woofer used in the Joule Black is almost 94db sensitive through the mid-band.  That's just how much sensitivity can be gained by not having to worry about reproducing bass.

So if I ever got interested in something the size of the Cirrus, but with the larger RAAL, with the understanding that I would be using a subwoofer(s) (Lordy knows I have enough Woofage), it could be possible to order?

Yes, absolutely ... we are a custom shop afterall  :thumb:

We have a very long list of things other than what's listed on the website that we've built over the years to fit specific needs.

The modded Cirrus are still breaking in, I haven't received the Kismet amps from Klaus yet so I am still using the Nuforce IDA 16.  Mike Powell sent me some Verastarr bi wire Grand Illusion cables.  My PS Audio DSD is breaking in also, all told I believe I have around 15 days on them.  I am using Auralex bass traps, some of their absorption and reflection panels ( I don't know what I'm doing but seems to be working).  Tonight I'm listening to the Persuasions on Mapleshade.  The sound is supernatural and superbly natural.  I'm a sax player and I love the sound of a well recorded saxophone, so I've been listening to a lot of well recorded saxophone music and the speakers do a great job reproducing the sound of the sax.  I can't wait to get the Kismets and I may invest in the Antipodes system Ryan uses at shows.  I do wish I could have gone to the larger ribbon to get the full Joule (at the time didn't know it was an option).  These speakers are spectacular sounding regardless. What I'm hearing has the basis of a phenomenal system once everything is in place.

Absolutely gorgeous looking. More should consider these as will fit nicely in most rooms.  Again very well done.
