So I am putting together an HT system in the basement from left over parts.  I have a pair of NHT Super One book shelf speakers, matching center, Panny digital receiver, and a Panny 50" Plasma.  The plasma will be wall mounted.  The HT set up will be on one thrid of a long room (12' x 50'), such that the seating (couch) will be 12' from the TV and the TV will be on a ~15' wall.  Thus, this is not a theatre so much as a TV room for watching movies, sporting events, etc in a group environment.

Anyway, my primary question is should I wall mount the speakers, or use floor stands?    Thoughts, suggestions, comments, etc?

On my main floor 3.1 setup I use a wall mounted LCR speaker from Definitive.  It is an older model and does fine.

In my basement 5.1 HT I use 3 wall mounted Paradigm Cinema 330's I bought used. Rears are wall mounted Paradigm ADP-190's.  All work very well on wall from 4 different seating positions.

I would use any of them again.

I like to place speakers on a similar level to the tv.
