I am still around here. If you must know, Frank and I got into some "philosophical" differences with design and the future as it relates to AVA, so I thought it be best if I stepped aside. It is difficult to design products when there are distances between parties. I felt that we had grown apart on our opinions of design, and well, everything seemed to shut down on my part.
I feel bad that it happened, but things, over time do change. I have deep respect for Frank and hope him and his crew the best. Sadly, that means no more Longhorns. At least for now.

Sorry to hear the news. Yes the audio world is changing. And the music world is changing. Efficiency, convenience. Home audio systems will be digital and class D based- for those that even use one. Whether technology represents a step forward or a step backward is another matter. I tell the people here at work about Lp records, that I like them best and about cd's versus Mp3 and they think I am absolutely nuts.
The fact is the majority of people are ok with Mp3, even the lower bit rate Mp3's. as well as the low bit rate/substandard audio quality of no pay Pandora, or Spotify streaming (I understand the bit rates go up when you subscribe) and people seem mostly ok with prerecorded concert performances. I feel there is something wrong with this, but that's the world we live in now.
Could you not offer a Longhorn service on your own?
