Odyssey Stratos stereo amp.

Preamp is an Audio Research LS3.

I use a pair of Stratos monoblocks in the "glass ceiling mode." Use any one of four different tube preamps ahead of the amps. The speakers really show their design with a good turn table playing acoustic jazz. Seriously duplicates the reeds vibrating in a tenor sax, and does piano about as good as one could ever ask for. Vocals are very good, and would place them right in there with my old Meadowlarks (known for their vocals). When you first hear drums thru them you'll say to yourself "they get them wrong", but go listen to the real thing. Drums are tight with only the snares vibrating. Yet the upright bass rumbles like the real thing.

I use a pair of Kismet mono's and a pair of Jadis JA 30s. Both work great.

My "souped up" pair of Lorelei (Kismet) speakers are powered by a Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum 100wpc tube integrated amp.  Extremely musical.

the Stratos Monos are known to be very fast. Much faster than any tube amp. Tube amps are smoother than most solid state amps. But the Stratos is the odd ball here. They almost seem to have a tube glow to them. Still not quite as warm, but closer than most. Add a tube preamp, and your right there. You'll really notice it in the bottom end of the scale.

Stratos Mono Extremes and loving them.  Just moved to a new house and WOW the living/home theater room sounds SOOO much better than my old houses room.  Fell in love with the Lorelei's and Stratos' all over again
