Bryston 7B amps
« on: 16 Nov 2014, 11:46 pm »
Just bought a pair of 7b pre NRB from a local kijiji site. Met the seller and bought the amps. When firing them up all seemed normal. I put on one of my favorite albums and noticed that at 1/8 volume, both amps started to clip. I own many bryston products and know my way around them quite well. After a little investigation, I noticed that only one side of both amplifiers heat sinks were getting warm. Any ideas as to what is going on here? The amps were built in 1991 and are out of warantee. I think I got taken by the seller. One amp is missing one of its internal fuses but still works?

Please help!
