Line level or digital vs. speaker level Baffle Step Correction?

I recently built a little full range speaker (LGK), that has a baffle step correction circuit in it.

So, I was thinking of bypassing that circuit, and implementing either a line level or digital BSC.

Leaning towards line level.  If I want to go digital, then it would limit my sw playback options, I don't want to get locked into foobar or jriver or something else that supports equalization.

Wondering if anyone has tried something similar, and what your experience was.
Seems like it should be a good thing to do this line level versus speaker level, but I'm not sure.

FYI, Rod Elliot has a page here for a line level circuit

I have a balanced setup, so my circuit would be a little different.

It's fairly easy to do at line-level.  With a passive circuit you'll incur some insertion loss, but usually not much.

You could translate that to a balanced interface easily.

You can also build an active analog line-level circuit.

All the DSP-based products will do this with ease.

Thanks for the link and info.

I just got a minidsp which I know I could use to do this.
But I was just planning to use the minidsp to add a subwoofer to my setup, and not pass the "main" signal through it.

I still want to use my DAC for the main speaker signal.  To use the minidsp for this, I would have to feed the minidsp I2S, adding it in series between my USB to I2S module and the DAC.
This is an option, and I may give this is shot to see if it degrades the I2S signal when I do this.
