Keith's VR-44 Aktives
« on: 12 Oct 2014, 01:43 pm »
Thought I'd share a pic of Keith's Custom finish VR-44s (BMW Jerez Black which is really a midnight blue with a hint of pearl) at home with his Lamm ML2.1 SET amps and a caboodle of Townshend stuff. Max Supertweeters, Seismic Sinks and even Seismic Outriggers.

Pre is a Lamm LL2 with Mullard tubes, DRC handled by a Lyngdorf RP-1, source an Accuphase DP-78 with Halide Bridge/Amarra and KS Emotion ICs and PCs and Verbatim SCs. Power conditioning by Audience.

Had a great time last Friday bro!

The new lineup looks A LOT like the older dB99 design. Just deeper and probably taller. Does that make my dB99 a legacy piece now? I don't care for that big V smack in the middle of the front baffle, but nobody asked me. ;)

The DB is a classic Kevin. The Aktive line is inspired by the DBs in more ways than one  :D

I see yours is a Mk2 given the 10" SEAS. The best and last of the great DB line.
