Full disclosure: I backed it. Liked the wireless part. Figured I'll get a decent pair of headphones for not a lot of money, and it just sounded good to me.

Cool.

Those graphs labeled "$500" and "$1400" are very familiar to me... :)

Hm, looks a bit limited for what I would need (iPhone only, and file playback only) - but still I think it's pretty cool and the way of things to come. Thanks for letting us know!

It will work from a PC  or MAC also. Hopefully they will reach their second Kickstarter goal and then there will be an Android app also.

Oh, the impression I got from reading the info/comments on KS is that they don't (yet) have licensing for anything but iOS. The Dirac processing is done on the sending device, not in the headphones. That's why they have their own app for music playback. My understanding is that you can send audio to the headphones from PC/Mac, but not with the Dirac processing. So they will work from PC or Mac, but not with the Dirac correction.

I'm a bit unclear on whether the app will work on the iPad.

JohnR-

Got an answer from them: they don't yet have licensing from Dirac for Windows, but do plan to add it in the future. It will work with DSP on an iPad.
They said they plan to eventually have it work on as many platforms as possible. Obviously they will go after the most used platforms first.

As far as other apps as sources, they wrote there is a way to run the app in the background so it applies dsp to sound from other apps.
