This is a very nice single ended 6L6 amp with a volume control, so it can be used directly from a CD player. It is tube rectified, Class A amp. The tube complement is 5AR4(5Z4P) / 6922(6N1) / 6L6(KT66 - 6p3p). It puts out 7.5 watts per channel, runs on 110 V. and has 4 & 8 ohm terminals. This was a Chinese kit, built by someone on AudioAsylum. It comes with its original complement of Chinese tubes, plus a full set of JJ Electronics tubes, from the Slovak Republic, plus two very cool vintage Russian 6N1P tubes from 1958 and 1963.
I was very impressed with the sound, especially the amount of inner detail and pace. It is sensitive to tube selection, so tube rolling is in order. The better the tubes, the better the sound. I tried some Marconi KT66’s and very rare Visseaux 6L6’s, which were exquisite sounding. I would discuss selling these to the successful buyer.
The package with the amp is 18” x 14” x 13” and weights 16 lbs. The tube package is 11” x 11” x 11”, and weights 3 lbs.
If you are already covered for amps, this would be a killer gift for a friend or relative to get them hooked on tubes.
