Why do people replace the asking price with SOLD once an item is sold?  It makes it hard for others to determine what the going price for items is and I can't really see a benefit to it.

Agreed.  Been wondering the same, and bothered by it,  for years.   It's ridic.   Oooo ooo someone might actually know my asking price! .   Top secret info!

I've said the same thing until I'm blue in the face. Just mark SOLD in the subject. Why bother rubbing out the asking price?

Many forums do not allow thread titles to be changed.  Or if they do, the updated title does not appear in the threads list.  I would prefer that the asking price be left, but personal preferences vary.
