Thanks guys...

YUP,  didn't know what to expect,  and wayyyy  too much on the table to really go out and spend realistically over 10 days for yet another show (and they end up, over the decades,  80 + ???) and didn't know what to expect,  BUT:::

THE NB  show was nothing short of SPECTACULAR !!!!!!

The sound we got was freaking unbelievable,  and yes,  it did take me in excess of 5 hours to do the final setup well into Friday,  but we did it...and couldn't have it done like this without GIK......People were much more patient, curious, and knowledgeable than,  let's say Denver,  and the business side from the show is still exploding...all good...

What still pisses me off too many times is that a lot of people really don't get it as to what we achieve especially for the cost...jaded, jaded, jaded...and then, many don't believe us,  hehehehe.

Anyway,  I am finishing up a much more ridiculous bang for the buck system  for the Capital Audiofest...think a little over 2 K !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People will have to notice then.. I will make them notice,  everybody,  hehehehe......I'll make some more announcements later,  and will essentially call this a one-finger-salute to the industry...back to OC,  it was also a lot of fun,  as the show still managed to be somewhat intimate,  which you can't get from the RMAF anymore, for example.

There were a few very cool things...first,  we had ARC / Wilson right across the room,  and man oh man,  we kicked their asses from here to eternity....as the sound traveled across the hall,  there were many times when listeners came from their room into ours, and needless to say,  we played the same exact music (when we had it,  which was quite a bit) so that these guys had an immediate A/B comparo....did I mention that we kicked their asses...bad ????

Then there was an unbelievable  moment,  even for me....J. Peter Moncrieff  (yes,  THAT JPM) came into the room and listened...I haven't talked to him in over 15 years,  and he hadn't followed me that closely over the years,  so,  other than the amps,  the rest was new to him...anyway,  he listened for over 20 minutes,  shaking his head wildly...came back 3 more times,  and the last time he came in,  he simply interrupted the listening session that I had...I turned off the music,  and in front of a medium sized group of about 8 guys he said this:  " I'm doing this for decades, but Klaus what the hell did you do??  This is the single best / musical system that I have ever heard at any show,  and one of the best that I have ever heard in my life...and for this price ???  I don't know what to say " ......

How cool is that ???

Late,
Klaus

Klaus,

What Can You Say?
You could just quote MichaelHiFi.

"big badda boom bang for the buck"

Who was the voice on "The Rose"  I think she was Norwegian?  The mike was a little hot and spitty but it was an incredible recording and performance.

BTW,  as to Chessie's comments and q's from several people in regards to magazine coverage:

We have been ignored by several of them,  but there'll be another one on Youtube from Peter soon...and a word about the truly, truly good guys such as TAS and Part Time Audiophile....and a few more...no,  we don't buy coverage or reviews.  As a matter of fact,  I feel bad about not advertising and supporting some of the good guys in the industry,  but our pricing model simply has very limited room for these expenses,  even though with business booming, and me having to raise prices modestly in the next month or so,  I should be able to do something,  at least for support....we'll see........

Strange...HiFi+ blog of the show leads with a picture of Klaus' rack and electronics, but no mention of the manufacturer or equipment listing.  Too bad since Klaus certainly had one of the better sounding rooms at THE Show.  Klaus...next time take this guy by the hand and introduce your wares to him.

Wasting time on the internet yesterday, I came across this AVShowreport of the Odyssey & GIK room at Newport https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIC8YAdtrSk.  I don't know what happened to Klaus.  Either he was not interviewed or he was left on the editing room floor which is where my videoed conversation with Peter Breuninger ended.  Anyway, the Odyssey system got a good listen with a "Very, very good" review.

Mind telling us what the system that lit up Moncrief was composed of.  I think that would be appreciated.
