new VR-33's
« on: 2 Jul 2014, 04:30 pm »
Hello, I took delivery of a new pair of all black vr-33's on June 10. Due to quite a few days of thunder/lightning storms here in northwest PA. I've had the system unplugged, but the last few days have been clear and I've really been putting them to work!!! These speakers are simply fantastic and work extremely well in my 11' X 14' room at 6" from the wall. They sound better every time I turn them on! I love the combination of power, detail, and balance these 33's create. Nothing is missing and what is there is simply wonderful sounding music  :thumb:. I have had (or do have) various Salk, Gallo, Martin Logan, and Magnepan speakers, and these 33's are going to stay here permanently. They are being driven by a Theta miles cd player coax out to an Emotiva xda-2 dac to Emotiva xpa-2 amp and I am stunned at the fidelity possible with this setup. Just wanted to let everyone out there know that if you are interested in a pair of VR-33's to make the jump as I don't think you will ever regret it!!!!!!!! My thanks to VSA for these incredible speakers.

Further proof that one needn't spend the equivalent of a small country's GDP to get good sound...well done!

My VR 33's give me way more satisfaction than they should for their modest price. I've had mine for a little over a year now and I'm still impressed by how good they sound!

I really like my VR-33's.  I found the VS house sound to be a little different to what I was accustomed to but I got used to it really quick.  A troll on Audiogon told me my system was subpar because of the VR-33 speakers.  What an ass he is!

I think the VR-33 is a very slick idea. Quality parts, an attractive design, priced for a lot less than other speakers of similar performance, what's not to like?

PS: having recently retired, downsized, etc. I really appreciate a speaker that can be placed near a wall. It's on my short list of speakers..
