Vista Audio ACLE phono preamp interest check.
« on: 6 Jun 2014, 12:47 am »
I may be selling my special built for AudioCircle members Limited Edition Vista Audio phono preamp serial number ACLE-002 in the next week to fund a new project. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in it.

I’ll sell it for $150.00 shipped USPS to US addresses only and I’ll cover PayPal fees.
It’s set up for moving magnet cartridges. I don’t know the current loading specs but I’m using it with an AT120E cartridge and it has plenty of gain and sounds great with no issues.

Pm me if interested.

Hi WireNut.
Too bad you don't ship to planet Vietnam,
too bad it's complicated to send you money, other wise I would be interested.
The price is exactly what I want to pay.
Too bad !

Are all the scratches optional or included in the price?

Hi Guy13. It is what it is. A great little phono preamp that sits in the back of my rack doing its job, and very well I might say. Never see the scratches as it sits in the back of my rack all alone doing it's thing. Many say it beats other phono pre's costing much much more.
Great unit and highly praised by many on AudioCircle. I have no idea how to ship to Vietnam. Even if I could, you'd have to cover shipping cost on that one. If my new project comes thru I doubt this unit will last long. They don't come up for sale very often at all.

Hi WireNut.
I know that it's a great little unit, why do you think I want to buy it?
I can tell you how to ship to planet Vietnam, but in exchange,
you have to tell me how I can get the money out of this communist planet,
that I call planet Vietnam.
If I could sent you the money via a relative that would be fine
and if you could send the unit to my wife's nephew in Seattle, that would also be fine,
but its after that that it gets uncertain.
It could take several months before the little jewel could be brought to me via a relative...
Anyway, if I find a way to solve my problem, I will let you know, if it's not too late,
if its too late, then I will buy a brand new unit from Boris at Vista.
Thanks for taking the time to answer me.

Um, it seems simple to me - use Paypal and the US Postal Service. Why won't that work?

Hi JohnR.
You might not be aware of the (Proven) facts.
In this communist country, it is forbidden to send money outside the country by any means (Visa, Western Union, PayPal...) unless it's a transaction with a company like Amazon, etc...
If I manage to buy all sort of things in the past it's via relative bringing money and products to and from...
It is also forbidden to import any kind of used products.
Import tax duty on personal equipment is between 45 to 55%
of course you could always use to good old method of corruption, at your own risk.
That's the sad story of buying products outside the communist planet Vietnam.
You probably have seen Boris post about my question on the Vista, it might be a good idea to buy new directly from Boris, since I would like to have is phono unit operating with 24VDC batteries.
I hope this explain well my situation.
Ony more questions and comments are welcome.
