Soundgarden Superunknown Reissue

Has anyone else purchased and listened to the new reissue of Soundgarden's Superunknown?

I received mine yesterday and could not wait to play it. The first thing i noticed upon spinning the record was a very noticable edge warp on the first disc. It didnt stop the cart from tracking but i can't help but wonder if was detrimental to sound quality. The arm was constantly bobbing up and down. The reason for my concern is that my first impression of the record was of harshness in the high end. However, i found the following review on amazon.com with dynamic range readings taken from what i assume is the HDTracks 24/124 release.

Though the record says mastered from the original analog tapes, the reviewer appears to believe the mastering was taken from the digital transfer. This in and of itself does not bother me at all but if that transfer has a DR of 6 then why did i just spend $50? Keep in mind that the second disc didnt sound all that great either. Perhaps more bass than what was on the original cd but it sounded somewhat well "compressed" to me. I listened to the record before i read the review btw. Luckily amazon has a generous return policy and the warp is significant enough to be concidered a defect.

So has anyone else had experience w/ either the vinyl or the download???
