This is a balanced power transformer with enough power to drive most any amps and/or systems. Linked is a thread from long ago on a different site. Please reference the equitech site or balanced power technologies to research the possible benefits of having balanced power in your system.
The transformer in this unit was slightly under spec for what Equitech uses in their Son of Q 1.5R. Instead of sending these back or destroying them they decided to put them into industrial boxes and sell them outright for DIY. These units are not pretty but wow are they stout!! I wired this with a Volex 17604 power cord and P&S outlets and plug. There are four outlets total as shown in the picture. Please be aware that this thing is an absolute beast at about 80lbs.
For someone wanting to give this a try the price should be right for what is included in the guts.
