The coincidence for me is: just last week a friend gave me a 1970's recorded directly-to-disc album "Missing Linc"...I had never heard of of the process before.
Most likely the best sounding method of recording music, ever. Nothing will put you 'there' like direct-to-disk..
No edits, no overdubs, no 'auto-tune', no retakes. Just real music being recorded as it is played.
