SOLD: Event Opal powered studio monitors

This is a great pair of the justifiably well known Event Opal studio monitors. They sell for $3000/pr. new and discounts are usually not available. They are very well known in studios and rarely come on the market used. They are compact, yet very powerful, will provide strong bass well into the 30s and play up to 115 dbw without distortion. Very clear, open and dynamic with a very upfront and in-room sound. The onboard EQ is very useful for room matching.
Full details here:

I did a write-up here summarizing my take on them:

One of these is from a pair that was about 2 years old, gently used in a home environment. One speaker in this pair developed an electronics problem recently and Event chose to replace it with a new speaker (great customer service!). The new speaker was received this week and has only a couple hours' playing time on it. Both speakers are from the same (latest) series, and sound the same as far as I can tell.
I will provide the dated documentation on the new speaker from Event.
Both speakers are in excellent condition, no scratches or dings, and look in very nearly the same condition.

In my opinion it is impossible to get a better sounding pair of nearly full range speakers with a ~400 WPC amplifier and EQ for this price. If I didn't have a full stable of great (and more expensive) speakers now, had a studio, or liked to play music loud, I would certainly keep these.
All accessories are included, including the equalization kit.
Note that inputs are either using balanced XLR (preferred), or unbalanced 1/4" mic jacks. If you aren't using a balanced source, I can include 1/4" to RCA converter cables if desired so that RCA'd ICs can be used. I recommend Gotham Cables for low cost pro audio cables for these (nyproaudio.com is a great source), configured to your needs at about $40 ea., or use a pair of these:

Very heavy at 107 lbs. total.
The listed price is firm.
Thanks for having a look!

Those are very impressive monitors and at a very attractive price, unfortunately I have no use for such large speakers at this time.

I'm sure they'll easily sell if audiophiles know what they're looking at.

I adjusted the price to below the ebay reserve.
Someone will get a bargain with these.
