Flight 370 pings detected 37.5khz
« on: 7 Apr 2014, 04:35 pm »
Well, i am not sure where to post this but i thought is somewhat scientific.

Pings signals of 37.5 khz detected by the chinese. Video show two chinese men with iphone earbugs trying to hear. So now my question is, how the hell are they going to hear signal of 37.5khz when human harddly are able to hear 20khz?
Is this some sort of different types of signals?

The detection device detects the 30+ KHz signals but converts them to a much lower frequency for audio monitoring, just as ultrasonic sonar screens emit a detection beep at a frequency that is determined to be the most comfortable to listen to, not the actual sonar frequency.
