High frequency equal loudness contours
« on: 26 Mar 2014, 05:43 pm »
Hi everyone,

Is there a standard that's used for high frequency equal-loudness curves? ISO 226 is only defined up to 12.5 kHz. On the wikipedia page there's a figure which someone extrapolated up to 20 kHz, but from what I can tell this was just estimated and not based on any data. Does anyone know of any published data or references which show what these curves do above 12.5 kHz?

Thanks in advance.
