Born again open baffler

Hi everyone

Just a short overview.

Hobbyist Speaker Builder 45 + years.(ouch)

Two years back I built a hybrid open baffle with a bass box as part of the design the open baffle drivers mid bass and planar were way faster than the bass box kept swapping out woofers in the bass box trying to integrate the sound field (no luck).

This past summer I sez to myself the upper part of that layout is magic the bass box has to go (admitted failure).

Thinking from old school banter about you need a massive amount of piston area to reproduce the lower registers with a open baffle I went for the gold and overbuilt a 5 way layout a 12" Bass a 8"Mid Bass a  3" mid a 4X9 Planar a 2X1" soft domes in a bipolar arrangement.

EUREKA :P

5 builds later I've gotten down to a basic 2 way system and now finally I depart on for me the ultimate KISS (keep it simple stupid) and have gather up the best of the vintage drivers craigslist money can buy.

I found myself pinging back to AudioCircle quite a few times to find out what other OCD soundfreaks were doing and decided to join the fray.
