A few months ago I acquired an old Well Tempered table, I believe it's a Classic but am still confused by the nomenclature for all the models. It's has a square motor, thin round damping cup, black acrylic platter and the Larry Pederson arm upgrades.
I appreciate all the info on this forum, I've learned a lot already.
I really like the table but it had hum/buzz that I couldn't get rid of, it wasn't a ground loop. I suspected there was an issue with the tonearm wires. Recently the fishing line broke so I took the arm hardware apart to clean, replace the suspension line, fix the broken VTA screw and am taking the opportunity to rewire the arm. Hopefully I can lose the hum with the rewire.
I'm sure you'll hear from me soon with some questions and I'll try to get some pics up too.
