All I did initially was agree with the OP that there is a difference in 100% crops between the cameras - detail captured (in this case likely due to the lack of AA filter). You suggested using a zoom lens to achieve the same equivalent detail. I don't think that was the intention of the discussion for looking at 100% crops.

Then you post a comparison with the mkIII against the D800, to which I might add, uses 100% crops to show the differences in the sensors. Not sure what you are trying to prove here regarding the discussion of the Sony. The D800 and Sony A7r having same sensor, well yes and no. Perhaps the D800e would be a better comparison.
