purchased brand new from an authorized dealer August 2013. The amps are in perfect condition and will ship in the original boxes. I purchased new much more efficient speakers with powered bass so I don't need 230+ WPC. The amps have maybe 400-500 hrs on them and are fully burned in. They have a couple of upgrades that SUBSTANTIALLY improved resolution and smoothness. The output attenuator was replaced with a Goldpoint Mini-V Stepped Attenuator($85 each) and also a pair of Jupiter Cryo HT Beeswax Paper Capacitors($65 per amp). Both of these upgrades were approved by Carver. The amps are all point to point wired and very easy to work on if ever needed. The output tubes are KT88 and the amps can use KT120 with no problem - the circuit is very easy on tubes and Carver estimates many many years of service. The bias is pretty much set and forget - they are by far the easiest tube amps to live with that I have owned. The Carver replaced a pair of Pass XA100.5($16500) class A amps and a pair of AMR AM77($22k) if that tells you anything about their sound quality. I am selling them for $4250 + shipping.
