Just purchased a new preamp that requires no less than SIX 12AU7's! Based on my initial research, all the better NOS tubes are prohibitively expensive, even in just pairs. I would greatly appreciate your recommendations for quality options that would be relatively affordable, especially given the fact that I have a need for such a quantity.

Thanks for any assistance.

Hi : Partsconnexion has a sale right now on NOS Siemens ECC82/12AU7

What preamp did you get ?

I bought NOS RCA clear top 12AU7 tubes from Brent Jessee that were labeled differently (CONN) and therefore much cheaper per tube (~ $20). They are in my Atma-Sphere preamplifier and I like them better then Mullards, Mazda/CIFTE and RTs.
Good luck!

Slapshot,

Those Conn's are very smooth, sweet little tubes, not bright at all. If thats what you want. I would get a couple extra at those prices. In case one goes bad.
