Bryston warranty question (4B SST)
« on: 31 Jan 2014, 05:25 pm »
Hi all,

I've just managed to buy 4B SST from ebay. The amp is working perfectly and is near mint condition despite of one thing - screws in the back panel are rusty (brown) and it seems that amp could have been in a contact with moisture or water. Maybe anyone knows whether Bryston warranty could be terminated due to few rusty screws? Also, I am curious how the amp is looking in the inside since there might be more rust there. Can I unscrew the amp in order to examine inside without terminating Bryston warranty?

Thanks in advance!

Yes have a look - no problem with warranty - turn the amp OFF (unplugged) first  :thumb:

Thanks for an answer James.

However, I am still a bit paranoid about few more things regarding the warranty :) Ebay seller lost his original invoice and provided me with the PDF copy owned by the former seller, authorized Bryston dealer. Will it be enough to cover the warranty? Also, there is no amp serial no. provided there, wont it be a problem regarding the warranty?

Send me the PDF and the Serial number and I will check it against our records.
