Jim Salk of Salk Sound has a pair of beautiful GR Research AV-2's for sale on eBay, last I looked the bid was ONLY $300.00. Somebody is going to get a good deal. These babies need a good audiophile home! Sale ends at around 9pm tonight.

Here is a pair of User Monitors also for sale by Jim. These are really good Rock and Roll speakers and Jim's cabinetry is second to none. Excellent deal!

None that I know of, he is a cabinet maker. He also builds some cabinets for Selah (Rick Craig) and for Dave Ellis' customers.

yeah, i noticed that he had the 1801 monitors and 1801 floorstanders on his website, too. thanks for the clarification.

His own speakers have been very well received at the various diy events, as well. They were designed by Dennis Murphy, like the 1801.

I heard the QW's and they are a real treat. He has a new 3 way floor stander that looks cool. I believe he's bringing them to Iowa DIY event on October 2nd. I am hoping to make it.

No joke, Jim's workmanship is second to none. Any cabinet maker or experienced woodworker who has ever seen his work will tell you. Jim is obsessive about quality and he makes the best cabinets I have ever seen. His use of exotic woods is a true work of art. If an accountant took a look at how much time he puts into each speaker, his head would probably explode. For Jim it's a true labor of love. Oh, and they sound really good also!

yeah, and the Aurum Cantus L2Ds had gorgeous cabinets, too...

too bad they didn't have the sonics to match...

and it was really quite a shame that you didn't make it...

maybe you'll be able to hear one of Rick's more expensive offerings in the future!
