FS: Ampzilla 2000 Monobloc Amps
« on: 20 Aug 2011, 10:49 pm »
Selling a pair of Ampzilla 2000 Second Edition monoblocs with black faceplate in excellent condition.

I’m the original owner and bought them in November 2008 from an Ampzilla Dealer.

These amps are the creation of the world famous designer James Bongiorno (of Dynaco/Sumo/GAS/SAE fame).
They are rated at 300WPC each and will power about any pair of speakers.

***From 10 Audio - Feb. 2009:
Rating of 9.5/10!!

"The Ampzilla 2000 amplifiers are perfectly smooth sounding with no grain, just like a good tube amplifier. Unlike many tube amplifiers, the Ampzillas are very extended in the bass and treble. The bass is simply outstanding. It goes down very deep into the lowest bass with super high resolution. The bass is perfectly tight and detailed, while not sounding dry and lacking realistic bloom. This is the perfect combination of objectively excellent and subjectively excellent. Many other solid state amps emphasize the qualities of tightness and definition at the expense of realistic warmth and bloom. The Ampzilla 2000 just “nails” the bass perfectly. This amplifier is a dream come true for bass lovers."

***Here are few comments from a review by Anthony H. Cordesman at the audiophile voice:

"The Ampzilla 2000, I compared its sound to the Pass X600, the Mark Levinson 436, and the Theta Dreadnaught II amplifiers. I auditioned Ampzilla 2000 against the best amps I know of; it held its ground.

I found the Ampzilla 2000 to have a slightly warmer timbre that I felt was a bit more musically realistic than the timbre of the Pass X600

What I do hope comes through clearly from this review is that the Ampzilla is a damn good amplifier and does deserve a careful listen."

Hi,

Wow that is an amazing price for an audiophile standard amplifier that is rated at 340 watts per channel.

To provide prospective customers the 10 Audio review was for the original version of the amplifier and from all accounts the second edition is an improvement on the first.  This amplifier would drive most low efficient speakers in the market.

Good luck with your sale.

Regards

Rod
