and Paypal both included. This unit is well known by most on AC, but if you have questions feel free to reach out. In it's final configuration it was originally $1550 including all the mod work Wayne put into it (DAC was $750; L1 mod, op amps, Psvane tube and fuse was $800).
Wayne's mods include:
- LME49990 op amps on Brown Dog adapters
- All 30 caps, 12 diodes and 7 resistors changed w/ 2 circuit boards added to tube section
- 30 bypass and supplemental caps added
- Modification of dual op amps for I/E conversion
- Tube output section reworked
- Tube circuit input level matched to op-amp output
- Resonance control pucks on main crystal and high volt cap
- Volume control disabled / output direct to jacks
- Cryo treated, silver plated, ceramic fuse
- Psvane 12AU7 tube
There are a couple nicks on the cover plate (top center and right edge) from shuffling around, albeit fairly minor. I have included photos that show them for complete transparency. Otherwise, the unit is in perfect working condition and sounds great. Moved on to a fully balanced setup, so hoping to give one of Wayne's baby's a good home.
