I purchased these new, custom made, from KCI (John Prator).
They are covered by the transferable manufacturer's warranty until Sept 8th of this year. So you can send them direct to John, if they develop any problems after you've used them a bit. Although, they have, always, performed flawlessly for me.
I, myself, of course, guarantee that they will arrive in fine working condition.

The Silkworms are highly prized by their owners and are very rarely found on the used market.
In my case, I've re-configured my system and they no longer reach my Viva Solista, or my Aesthetix Rhea phono preamp.
How do they sound? Extremely musical and emotionally involving, solid, grain-free images, deep, quick bass, smooth treble.
However, the Silkworm's tonality is, probably, its greatest strength. Notes just sound "right".
These Silkworms are almost five years old.
