World Class CLS9 Speakers! I am open to trades plus cash.....top quality preamps, amps or DAC's!
Custom Concepts, Response Audio and JAM’n Audio teamed up to bring customers a no compromise version of the GR Research designed LS-9.
With these speakers the most advanced custom panel processing and finishing methods available were used. The finish is Anigre fiddleback. Cabinet sides are 3 inches thick, curved and the cabinets are fitted with no Res. The backs are even thicker, internal wiring is JPS labs.
Response Audio produced the external crossovers for the CLS-9. The sonic signature of the crossover is influenced by the use of some of the most highly regarded passive components currently available in the industry. The use of Mundorf Silver/Gold and reference grade Teflon capacitors, Mundorf and Goertz foil inductors and Mills non-inductive resistors is just part of what makes up this very special crossover network. Cost was approximately $2,500.00 just for the extra Crossovers.
Each crossover assembly maintains the same topology and circuit designed by Danny Richie of GR Research and is matched within 1% of each other. The GR Research outboard crossovers are included in the sale as well, which are as good maybe better, they use sonic caps bypassed with sonic cap platinum’s. The crossovers are point to point wired ensuring the simplest and least intrusive signal path the link between the crossover and speakers is made via four custom umbilical cords utilizing high purity Continuous Cast Copper wire and connection to the speaker and crossovers utilizes professional grade speak-on connector and Bybee purifiers.
These bad boys are 20k to 20htz and are incredible! Approx. 94db eff.
Prices for just the cabinets, components and labor is well over $15,000.00 and would cost $30,000.00 to reproduce. I am asking $4,750.00, there is a scratch in the finish on the right side of the right speaker. It is about 8 inches long and as much as I tried to get it in the photos it just wouldn't show up. Again it is in the clear coat not the wood.
I am moving to smaller speakers no need for the wall of sound anymore, speakers are about 5 years old and all parts are available.
I will ship but you would have to have someone come over and crate them up.
