Beautiful phone. Massive upgrade from my Samsung Focus, which was a Windows phone. I liked that phone, it was simple and did most things I wanted.
First of all the hype is real, I dunked this brand new phone into a pitcher of water several times, swished it around, let it sit in there a while, pulled it out and works great. Just make sure the usb is sealed shut and you're good. Internet or kindle in the bath is a nice reality now.
Features wise, and in terms of available software, this blows the windows phone to bits. The OS is far more robust and tweakable. There are endless amounts of apps and the store is intuitive and well laid out. The phone has a very modern OS, you can use your face as log in security if you want. Has voice control, will answer calls and go to speaker if you wave your hand in front while you're driving, no need to look and touch anything.. so many features.
Tons of connectivity, I dont even know how to use all the ways yet. Apparently you can transfer data by simply touching another like device. There is also wifi direct, and just regular old wifi. It's 4glte too and I'm pretty amazed by the speed! Seems broadband fast! My old windows phone was 3G and not even close.
the 1.9 ghz quad core unit is also a beast. Multitasking is a breeze, games load very fast.
overall I love it. Perfect phone for me. Came for the waterproof nature, blown away by the features and power. 5/5.
