My experience is that special procedures and treatments for ripping undamaged CDs are unnecessary. At this point of the game, it is simply an issue of data integrity.
It is only when the data is decoded by the DAC and starts its way through the analog circuits that issues come up that affect sonics. That's when you need to worry about the DAC, clocks, filter choices, RFI and all of the other gory details that audibly affect playback.
I know its not too hard to find others who will disagree so the above is only my experience. I've ripped around 5,000 CDs to my music server over the years and don't worry much about it these days beyond getting the tagging right. However, I did a fair amount of back-to-back experimentation some years ago before I had invested too much time in ripping my collection and was able to satisfy myself that there was no audible difference between the CD and hard drive versions, and that no special religious rituals were required to accomplish the task.
YMMV.
