Very sad. I can't say that I knew John well, but he was, as well as being knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the hobby, very gracious and welcoming.

It's a tough (and thankless) job being a moderator on audio internet boards and I always thought he was very, very good at it.

He got me motivated to get back into vinyl.  His posts were always balanced and thoughtful and he was quite apparent he was a great bloke.

So sorry for his wife and young child.

I am relatively new (2009) compared to most y'all. When I was first coming in, he help me, always positive and helpfull with his views. He was a positive force for AC. He will be missed.
