 I have for sale a pair of GR Research AV-3 TL Tower speakers finished in cherry veneer. They feature two (2) 5-1/4" curvilinear coned woofers and a 1" silk dome tweeter in a transmission line loaded enclosure. The crossovers uses Alpha foil type copper inductors and Sonicap capacitors. The enclosure interior walls are lined with No-Rez for cabinet resonance control and sound damping. Frequency response range is 40hz - 20Khz +/- 1.5 db. Impedance is 8 ohms and efficiency is 91 db/1M/1W. Bass response is very clean, fast, and extended down to 40 hz. These speakers have a very open, clean, transparent sound quality with excellent imaging and sound field depth. They sound great on all types of music from jazz to classical. Also, they are well suited for front mains in a 2.0 or 2.1 high end music systems and for HT use. Selling price reduced to $525.00 for the pair


  Note - I am unable to ship these speakers, so sale is for local pick-up only from where I live in southeast Virginia. Due to the size and weight of these speakers the cost to box, pack, and ship would be just too expensive. I am now willing to ship by UPS or FedEx ground shipping.

Are those the ones I heard when I came to your place when I was speaker shopping?  If so, I remember thinking how great they sounded and at your asking price, they are a steal!

It would be very hard to find anything comparable to the AV-3s at that price.  They have a nicely extended bass, clear but not fatiguing treble, and, best of all, very smooth mids.  I had a pair for a couple of years before replacing them with LS9s.  For under $500, someone should grab these.
