This is an overbuilt, heavy-duty piece of equipment.
It is broken-in but lightly used and in mint condition. It cleans your power, eliminating noise, and isolates your high end gear from the rest of your circuit providing a true continuous 8.5 amps of clean and balanced power.
I have it power a Primaluna Prologue Premium integrated amp and my Cambridge Audio 640C V2 CD player. My speakers are Epos M12.2s. This is a fine sounding system with lots of speed, imaging and resolution, but the BP-1 makes a huge difference in the sound quality, lowering the noise floor and adding a lot of detail resolution and air around the parts of the sound, making the music clearer and improving soundstage and imaging. And I mean huge. To test that I was not just drinking the cool-aid, I would unplug my system from it without telling my wife. During the day, while I am at the office, she uses the stereo to listen to Spotify streams. Invariably in the evening she would complain that something was "wrong" with the music that day. That it did not sound "right". She is not technically minded or an audiophile, but she could clearly notice the difference.
I am letting it go because my local dealer decided to get rid of a PS Audio P5 power plant he was not selling for a ridiculous price so I snatched it from his hands. In reality the BP-1 gets much more resolution out of the music than the P5, but the P5 gives me more control over the power I feel is a bit more versatile for the disparate kinds of music I hear. However, the P5 is over twice the price of a BP-1 and I do not think it improves the sound twice as much. Like I said, the BP-1 gets more resolution out of the music.
