Kenwood KD-500 Drive - SOLD
« on: 23 Jul 2013, 11:13 am »
$100 firm.

Recently re-capped, pretty clean. Minor speed fluctuation per the included strobe- this one is for the DIY'er. I should say 'drift' instead of fluctuation. The pitch controls (pots) are very sensitive, and it is therefore difficult to get the unit to exactly hold a precise speed without the platter appearing under the strobe to (very slowly and gradually) move backwards or forward, depending on which way the pitch pot is rotated. For some folks, this will not be a big deal. For others . . .

Includes a 6mm acrylic mat of unknown origin. Dust cover is in good to very good shape, minor scratches and swirls from ordinary use excepted - the hinges are in very good shape. Use included wooden armboard drilled for 214 mm or supply your own armboard & arm. (Can include assorted thickness baltic birch 1' squares if you want to fabricate the armboard yourself.)

Shipping extra; no charge for PayPal.

Why is this still here?? Insanity, I tell ya!
If I weren't up to my eyeballs in tables I'd jump on this. What a cool project to install a nice arm on this and let 'er sing. GLWS
