This cartridge started life as a Grado Sonata. I sent it to Andy at the Needle Clinic for a rebuild and upgrade. Andy fitted it with an alloy cantilever that has lower mass and greater stiffness than the aluminium cantilever. The alloy cantilever is lighter and more rugged than the gemstone alternatives, and has performance characteristics in line with boron. The diamond was upgraded to a more expensive hyper elliptical that has a smaller profile for improved detail retrieval, versus the rather basic one oon the stock Sonata.
The generator section of the cartridge is the same that is used on the Master cartridge, so what this means is after the rebuild, this is basically a better cartridge than the stock Master. Or you are getting a Master cartridge in a Sonata branded wood body, and the Master is a $1000 cartridge.

You are getting a 0 hour refurbished cartridge. Full retip, suspension adjusted, and cartridge cleaned. A better purchase than a used cartridge, in that you know how many hours will be on this one...whatever you put on it.
Will come in a plain box with no accessories or stylus guard. If you really want it I can try to see if Grado will sell me a guard.
