Doing some spring cleaning & figured that since I've had this B&K Pro 5 preamp since new more than 20 years - and used it only for the first few years of those - it was time to let go! I've used it recently to make sure it was working. Nonetheless, being sold as-is.
It's got six inputs, including a MM phono stage (which got good reviews), two tape loops, and two pre-out's.
Controls on front are selector, controls for tape recording, direct bypass, and tone bypass. With direct bypass it's basically a passive preamp & sounds somewhat cleaner than with active pre-amplification.
There are also balance and tone controls.
Cosmetically its in good shape, with the exception of a scratch on the center back of the top case, and the glued on feet have come off. Sorbothane glue on feet are available for under $20 on Amazon & elsewhere.
This is a later model with the better gold plated RCA plugs & IEC connector for detachable power cord (basic power cord included).
No longer have the box or manual, but will be packaged carefully. My guess is the shipping weight is approx. 15lbs. Buyer pays shipping. I can send USPS, UPS, or Fedex (preferred).
Under $100 - how can you go wrong - even if you just want the nice hardware for a DIY or upgrade project!
Any other questions, please feel free to ask. Please don't offer less than $99. Really - life's too short. From what I can see $150+ is the usual asking price.
