Rare SAS 10A preamp up for sale. Recently had Steve go over unit, make sure it was up to spec and included all current mods. This is one of the best preamps on the market. The following is from Bound for Sound Issue #163:

SAS Audio 10A Triode Preamp is one of only 3 listed in "Exceptional Merit" catagory. "I expecially feel that way about the SAS 10A, a tube unit of moderate expense that simply stomps a mud hole in just about every active unit made - regardless of price."

This is an earlier model that has the captive power cord, but after talking with Steve, he feels it's sonically as good as any after market cord out there. It's in very good condition, but does have a mark on the top/back of the unit which you can't see once in the rack. The face plate is perfect. This has the monitor switch option.  I'm asking $750.  Ships from 60178.

  very nice preamp have a 7-a would liked to have aquired but missed the boat. maybe next time.
