I’m putting my beloved Extended Foreplay III up for sale. I have to make room and need to sell some of my gear.

As you can see from the pictures this Foreplay III is unique. I did not use the standard top plate, but installed it in a LITE AUDIO chassis and remote volume control board. The volume can be set in 99 steps of exactly 1.0dB. There are 4 inputs using relay switching for R-2R ladder network. 1dB per step, attenuate from 0dB to -99dB, output impedance is near constant. Left and Right channel are total separated to minimize the cross talk interfere. It also, incorporates a "Felix" in-line power conditioner.

The original Foreplay III circuit is the same with the exception of using 6CG7 tubes in place of the original 12AU7s. In addition critical capacitors in the signal path have been upgraded to AURICAPs and the noise floor tweak was implemented.

The only blemish is on the top cover. The corner is very slightly bent and had a small chip.

The original price for the Foreplay III and Extended upgrade was $838. When you include the chassis, potentiometer, IAB terminal strips and boards, QQQ sockets, and Filex the total cost is over $1000 invested.
