Interested in adding a tubed source for CD/DAC, and wondering if anyone has any comments on either of these units:
Ayon 07s with 5687 tubes or the Modwright tube modification to the Oppo 105 using 6SN7 tubes.
Does anyone who has heard either of these have some comments on either player. Or general comments with what to expect from either player with these different tube sets?
Other recommendations are welcome as well. However, one reason I am considering these 2 has to do with the digital inputs, which might allow me to replace my current stand-alone DAC. So I am mainly looking for players that can function as a DAC as well.
