Speakers switch box Made in Vietnam.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
A speakers switching box design by Guy 13
and made/assembled in Vietnam.
Another little project to keep me busy.
A switch box for switching between two sets of speakers.
For me the best way to evaluate and compares speakers is by switching
from “A” to “B” within a few seconds.
That’s my way of doing it and it seems to work for me,
how about you ?
Cost of this project :
17 USD for the box.
For the front big red switches,
the RCA connectors,
the 5 ways speaker terminals,
the transparent front and back plates
and miscellaneous hardware.
20 USD.
Total cost: 37 USD
The same thing made elsewhere,
even in China would have been more expensive.
What will be my next project ? ? ?

Without level matching (which would obviously add to price), doesn't this test favor the more efficient speaker?

Years ago I made one of these and still have and use it.

Hi JerryLove and all Audio Circle members.
Thanks for your comments.
My GR Research V1 is (Approximately) 98db and my V2 is 95db.
Therefore what I did to have an equal db output level for both speakers
I have made a marking on the volume control knob of my amplifier and when I switch from one speaker to the other, I adjust the volume accordingly.
Yes, it's manual, but it works for me.

Hi mark funk and all Audio Circle members.
Thanks for the link, it's very interesting,
unfortunately, there are no Radio Shack in Vietnam.
Probably will never be any, minds you, I might be wrong,
because there are now having some Subways, KFC, Pizza Hut, Baskin Robins,
no McDonald yet...
That's why I got my parts from different places around my house.
The two big red rocker switches are from professional electronic flashes
that I sell and are made in Taiwan.
