Currently have a Blue on my table and I know there is more music in there...Buy the Black? Bank the money towards a RP6? If I bank the money the cartridge would be long after a table purchase.

I would not put a 2M Black on an RP1 unless you were to change the RP1 to something higher within 4-6 months.
I think the Black is overpriced. Just my opinion.
I also have not been impressed with Rega's newer offerings design or especially QC.

I'm not familiar with the RP-1, but if you can't easily adjust arm height don't get the Black.

Ya that's right I have read it is sensitive to VTA and set up.
