Last night at 11:30ish, I was listening to the Burmeister 3 CD and forgot that the last track has this Chinese drum cut. It was already fairly loud, cuz my wife asked me (a couple of times) to please lower it a little, when the Hugh Masagila (sp) ended and the last track came on. Let me tell you it is a rude awakening when not expecting it.

My dog ran under the bed, my wife jumped out of hers and I was in recovering from a very fast heartbeat when she ran into the room saying, "OK ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! YOU ARE SCARING EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I THOUGHT IT WAS AN EARTHQUAKE, ETC, ETC, ETC." I absolutely loved it!

Hey, I got scared too!
I think these things are broken in. I've changed interconnects a few times and settled on (for now) PS Audio's Statements. The speakers are so sensitive to any change I make in the system. I never experienced a speaker that did this before...curse or blessing? The sound stage has opened up and gotten deeper. The bass is spot on! The attack, decay, dynamics and subtle instrumental nuances are fantastic.
I think I've reach it......"Audio Nirvana".

NOW WHAT?????
