Lightning 30 pin connector
« on: 23 Nov 2012, 04:45 am »
Ok now that I upgraded my 4S to the new iPhone 5 I came to realize that I need to spend "MORE" money on things that should be included in the phone  for examply, most of my digital equipment, such as my Peachtree Audio only supports 30 pin adapter.  The Apple store wants to charge $29 for an adapter that doesn't support video output  :nono: WTH! $39 for the pin adapter w cable, again none video support!

I absolutely love Apple products, been a loyal customer since the first iPhone came out, Macbook Pro, Ipad etc.  But I can see why some people are opting to leave Apple massive pricing system and how they force their customers to pay more for items that should be included, I am absolutely pissed that I have to fork over $40+tax etc...  Seriously Apple?   Anyway, was looking for a generic version pin adapter and I am wondering if anybody could recommend an item that will work without paying the hefty prices.  If you do, please provide link, name, info etc.

Sorry for the ranting but in bad economic times Apple should be considerate of their customers.  Beginning to think that Apple doesn't care about customer loyalty and I am somewhat disappointed  :o

There are some on eBay, can't vouch for how well they work though. eg

I've read some bad things about the cheap knockoff adapters, I'd probably give it some time until they're improved.
