Sad news.

I just heard Randy B. of Sonist Loudspeakers is no longer. :(

Wow, that is sad news. He was always at the shows in happy spirit and loved his cigars. My best to all.

Very sad news.  I always had pleasant chats with Randy at audio shows, and his speakers always sounded good no matter what electronics were paired with them.

Randy Bankert as an underrated speaker designer.  His Sonist speakers were always great performers at the audio shows and terrific values as well.  He was a real nice guy to talk to.  I will miss visiting with him at CAF and RMAF.

At several audio shows he would mate his speakers with an inexpensive Glow 1 tube amp, something like 5 watts a channel and $500.  The setup never ceased to amaze me, sounded really good.

 :cry: Oh gosh, one of the fine mind and a people person. Men like Randy are few and far between.
