Can I take this onto a side topic ask ask about power supplies? I've built several desktop computers so I know a bit about ATX type power supplies, but when it comes to audio specific computers like this, I imagine the power requirement is minimal. Long story made short, I suppose I don't really know what I don't know, so I'm looking for general info and guidance.
Other than satisfying the power requirement of the computer, I guess quiet is a must. What else should I be concerned with? If this were powering stuff like amps or preamps it would be more important...no? I don't know much about low voltage audio gear, everything I have plugs into wall and I assume any transformers are within devices themselves or perhaps wall warts. Can this be as simple as a wall wart?
Any good reads on the subject?
